a) 32/99 Case 1: Red ball is picked from Bag 1 Probability = 5/9 Bag 2 will now have 4 red and 7 black. A red can be picked with probability = 4/11 Case 1 probability is 5/9 x 4/11 = 20/99 Case 2: Black ball is picked from Bag 1 Probability = 4/9 Bag 2 will now have 3 red and 8 black. A red can be picked with probability = 3/11 Case 2 probability is 4/9 x 3/11 = 12/99 So, possibility of red from second bag = 20/99 + 12/99 = 32/99

If A company is amalgamated company and B is amalgamating company, the depreciation is calculated by B and apportioned between A and B in the previous year. What is the treatment of depreciation, if A is a power company with different depreciation rate from B which is not a power company or the companies have different depreciation methods
latest answer
In pooling of interest method, if at the time of amalgamation, the transferor and the transferee companies have different accounting policies, a uniform set of accounting policies is adopted following the amalgamation. If the asset are different blocks, the rates are to be different.
