Cost of capital

Financial Management

answered on 02-Jun-21 12:01

Sir in this problem Redemption value means we redeem means we pay , so 121 rs it is treated as cash out flow na . And intrest of 7.5 also we pay it is going out so it is also cash out flow . And net proceeds of rs 100 is cash inflow . Then npv should be PV Of CI - PV of CO so 100 - (75 + 28.425 ) after taking in to present value so Npv is -3.425 na It is my doubt where am I wrong they considered intrest and redemption value as cash inflow ??? Why Please reply sir

In question it is not mentioned whether the "Stock at Cochin as on 1st Jan" is at cost or at invoice price. But the problem is solved as it is in invoice price. Whether we can assume it to be in cost?

latest answer

They clearly mentioned that head office invoiced goods to branch at cost plus 25%. That means the opening stock in branch is also at invoice price only

The 1st point talks about a present dispute taken to arbitrator instead of court and the 2nd point talks about the agreement to take to court any future disputes to arbitrator between the parties
