The negotiable instrument act 1881

Corporate & Other Laws

Explain the meaning of negotiation by delivery, give your answer as per the provisions of the negotiable instrument act 1881

latest answer

According to Section 47 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881: Subject to the provisions of Section 58, a promissory note, bill of exchange or cheque payable to bearer is negotiable by delivery thereof. Explanation: Negotiation by delivery occurs when an instrument that is payable to bearer is transferred simply by handing it over (i.e., physical delivery) from one person to another. No endorsement (signature of the holder on the back of the instrument) is required in this case. The person who receives the instrument becomes the holder and gets the right to receive payment. Here, Bearer Instrument is an instrument marked "pay to bearer" or where name of endorsee is blank, so anyone who receives delivery of instrument can enter their name and own the instrument.

Expected return as per CAPM

AFM

answered on 23-May-25 20:43

Sir, I had a doubt regarding return comparisons using CAPM. Are both of the following comparisons considered the same, or do they serve different purposes? Expected Return as per CAPM vs Targeted Return, and Expected Return as per CAPM vs Actual Return Also, please explain how the buy/sell decision differs in both scenarios. Whether a stock should be considered overvalued or undervalued when actual return exceeds CAPM return, and how that differs from when CAPM return is compared to a targeted or required return.

EOQ is the optimal order quantity that minimizes the total inventory costs, which include ordering costs and carrying (holding) costs. Reorder quantity is the quantity you order when stock reaches the reorder level. Companies may or may not use EOQ as the reorder quantity.
