Cumulative Normal Distribution Table Values
AFM
answered on 21-Apr-25 11:00
When we are concerned about the worst case (risk / abnormal losses), we consider -ve SDs (LHS) from mean, and since the cumulative normal distribution value is seen cumulatively from the +ve tail (RHS) towards the -ve SDs, we calculate the remaining percentage to denote the area of -ve SDs. Whereas analysing the chance of getting best case (abnormal gain), we consider +ve SDs (RHS) from mean, and since the cumulative normal distribution value is seen from the -ve tail (LHS) towards the +ve SDs, we calculate the remaining percentage to denote the area of +ve SDs. Am I right, sir?

in adjustment (i) why aren't we deducting cost of electric fittings from closing inventory? in adjustment (ii) it says there has been no entry in the books for goods taken as free samples. then why are we not deducting goods taken as free samples from inventory? Isn't the entry Advertisement debit to purchases a/c?

since the selling price is reduced to 44rs, wont there be a change in variable cost of 18rs to 17.6 rs sir? (iv of illustration 51 as per indigo study mat)]
latest answer
No, as the question doesn't specify anything regarding change in the variable cost as a % on sales.
