Lily White vs R mannuswamy The decision was in favour of Lily as the condition was not reasonable Mukul Datta vs Indian airlines The decision as per video is in favour of Indian airlines stating that the passenger has accepted the condition But as per official data of the supreme court of India the decision is in favour of mukul Datta with a compensation In both cases conditions should be reasonable In case of mukul Datta vs Indian airlines the condition should be reasonable which is not What should be the final judgement in case of mukul data and if yes why condition should be reasonable in case of mukul Datta

latest answer

Yes it is a case of tacit acceptance.

Beta of Debt

AFM

answered on 28-May-25 16:52

Sir, the beta of debt is often assumed to be zero, because debt payments are generally fixed and do not fluctuate with market conditions. Can you please explain when the Beta of debt will not be zero, and which factors indicate that the Beta of debt is not zero?

latest answer

When risk of non payment of Company's debt's is linked to economic conditions then debt beta is not equal to zero. Even if it is non zero it is very small number

Where is solution of this question in book ???

latest answer

Hi, This question has been added specifically for May 25 syllabus by ICAI. As and when ICAI adds new questions in ICAI SM , and when they ask new type of questions in the Exams, we add them to video content. Obviously it will not be possible to add them all to the printed Material as changes are frequent We add them to PDF notes. We will be uploading a new version of PDF notes along with questions asked in May 25 exams by 31st may 2025 - the revised notes have additional information on source of questions as well. kindly wait for 3 more days Secondly the same question was earlier covered in the business valuation chapter and that is still there too. Just search for external financing requirement in PDF of P 600 + and you will be able to locate the solution

Flotation cost in WACC market value

Financial Management

answered on 28-May-25 10:26

Why don't we subtract flotation cost by the computation of WACC @market value where for ex. Mps =24 flotation cost 4rs. Then 50000shares ×(net mps I e,) 20 rs instead of 24?

latest answer

Because floatation cost is specific to debt or equity or pref, adjustment should be made at their level and not WACC level
