AGM

Corporate & Other Laws

answered on 16-Apr-26 11:54

Hi mam, doubt regarding First AGM as per your video lectures you mentioned that the AGM should be held within 9 months from its date of incorporation... The same thing is provided in the notes( pg.no159), but in the study material it is given that First AGM should be held at the end of its first financial year... and it is strictly tied to the end of the first financial year not the date of incorporation... So please clarify this one mam. Thanks.

For casual vacancy caused by resignation — the Board fills within 30 days, and the appointment must be ratified at a General Meeting within 3 months — this rule applies equally to both Government and Non-Government companies.

Sir, for grant 2 I have not written numerically but theory part is correct but marks have not been awarded. For grant 3,4 only 1.5marks is awarded , I assume it carries 2marks. I scored 58 in FR. Is there possibility of increase in 2 marks to get exemption?

latest answer

Needed some more explanation in each of the bit. Hence very unlikely that 2 more marks will be awarded. Also fair value optino for non-monetary asset is not explained.

Inception Date for Reassessment on Modification

Financial Reporting

answered on 04-Apr-26 11:02

"if the lease would have been classified as an operating lease had the modification been in effect at the inception date" Based on this, shouldn't we consider the modification on the inception of the original lease? So the lease term would be 3 years in this case yes? [Video Time Stamp: 16:08]

Oh ok, understood. Thank you!

Ind 116 - Dealer Lessor - Self Practice Q

Financial Reporting

answered on 04-Apr-26 11:05

In the self practice q (after Q47) Revenue has been considered as Lease receivable less the PV of UGRV. I get the underlying logic behind it, as no market rate has been given However would this presentation be good enough in exams? Or do I have to go the long way and calculate the PV of lease payments again? (which is causing some rounding differences)

Ok sir, thank you
