Probability of 50% chance of winning
Financial Reporting
answered on 24-Jan-25 12:45
Hi Sir, When the probability is between 5%- 50% we should disclose the contingent liability & not the creation of provision am I right sir, in illustration 21 there is only 50% chance of losing the case then why provision created instead of disclosing it as contingent liability.
latest answer
HEre company is not confident. Also conflicting verdicts given by different courts. So as a matter of prudence provision can be made.

Consider a company that has a strategy focused on customer service. This strategy will guide employees to prioritize customer satisfaction in their day-to-day work, from product development to customer service. It influences behavior by setting clear expectations for how employees should interact with customers, what values should guide those interactions, and what goals should be achieved to ensure customer satisfaction is prioritized.

Gain or loss due to forward
AFM
answered on 22-Jan-25 18:07
Sir, in this illustration for part 2 question how Rs. 2500 is gain? Forward rate to sell USD by exporter after 3 months is Rs. 72.95 and actual spot after 3 months to sell USD by exporter is Rs. 73. Due to forward contract, we received Rs. 3647500 [50000USD*72.95]. If we not entered in to forward contract, we could have received Rs. 3650000 [50000USD*73] based on actual spot after 3 months. So difference of Rs. 2500 has to be loss for exporter. How it is gain?

Sir as the bank has entered into Buy USD Fwd to cover its position it has entered into Back to Back transaction with Interbank to Sell Fwd @ x rate. When customer seeks Extension and the Banker won't get USD from the Customer, to honour Interbank Sell Fwd the Banker will Buy USD at Spot from Interbank to settle it right? So when the Banker is Buying USD at Spot from Interbank, The interbank charges 0.20% Margin as it Sale from Interbank's Perspective. Am I right sir? ( Margin from Interbank POV? )(For Interbank the banker is customer?) When the Bank enters into New Fwd Contract it charges margin to its Customer ( Margin From Banker POV )

Audit 1FIN book
Auditing
answered on 22-Jan-25 20:38
Can i go with Audit 1FIN book After witnessing the recent Audit exam, i felt I'm not that conceptually clarified person in terms of Audit flow, Auditing in practical scenario etc .... And I don't like the terminology in ICAI book-and yes i understood the intent that it's the language of audit itself to be like that but..... I need somewhat better book. My only question :- how will be the language in Audit 1FIN book Is it same like ICAI book ? Or else different ? If it's different, then I'm purchasing it in the next minute. Urgent reply needed sir, I don't want to waste a single day for may25
