Can someone explain why, in the given problem, the factoring reserve of 12% is calculated after deducting the factor commission, instead of being calculated on the total receivables of ₹90,00,000? Additionally, what is the logic behind using 14% as the interest rate for the amount not funded by the factor, when the problem states that the book debts are financed by a mix of bank borrowings and owned funds with different cost?

If I have LTCL of say 0.8L, and LTCG u/s 112A of 1.2L, then do I get to setoff the LTCL against 0.2L or 1.2L? (Note - as per Jan 25 syllabus)

Sir, in this question, why interest rate parity (like in Illustration 16) formula is not used and ideal depreciation rate is used? As it'll make a small but a difference in forward rate (0.6681 vs 0.6683 because of annual compounding vs quarterly compounding)
