Variable cost
Financial Management
answered on 19-Dec-24 16:41
Okay we rechecking raw material consumption percentage 35% Y1, Y2 at the same for y3 Then what about stores , manufacturing expenses, other expenses The percentages are not tally But we disclaim this to be calculated as same as RMC i.e, variable cost
latest answer
Other expnses they clearly said it will go up by 50 lacs MAnf & Stores do vary with sales. It is logical to take them on basis on last year % of sales, instead of a ration that is 2 years ago unless you know that there ate some adjustments to be made in the PY ratio. If not one considers PY ratio only

Raw material consumption
Financial Management
answered on 19-Dec-24 16:38
Why it's variable cost Then purchases? Is it Raw material consumption per unit variable how? Ex 1st yr goods consumed more 2nd year due to natural calamities or corona or any thing why it based on previous years percentage
latest answer
Please be clear when you ask a query. From what we have understood from your query, below is the answer: 1. RM consumption as a % of sales, usually remains in same range 2. For year 1 280/800 = 35%, year 2 350/1000 = 35% so for year 3 also a similar % can be assumed 3. Will it change depending on extraordinary circumstances in real life - yes 4. Have they provided any such extra ordinary circumstance detail in the question - no

Breakup of 'Net Assets'
Financial Reporting
answered on 21-Dec-24 07:42
Sir, 1. Timestamp @ 01:55 how is the 'Net Assets' of Co. B at Rs. 1,50,000 represented as 'Equity' at Rs. 50,000, and 'Free Reserves' at Rs. 1,00,000, since Co. A has invested Rs. 1,00,000 as 'Equity' of Co. B? Shouldn't any change in the 'Equity' of Co. A have reflected in 'Investment' of Co. B as well?
latest answer
Increase in net assets are reflected in the investment value.

Doubt on major overhaul expenditure
Financial Reporting
answered on 21-Dec-24 07:47
Sir in this illustration, why is the overhaul cost of 3 million reduced from 13260million? If This 3 million is separately incurred at year 4 then why is this deducted from 13260 , instead it should be separately depreciated and 13260 should be depreciated separately
latest answer
When we buy a new asset, it is in working condition for 3 years after which we need to carry out overhaul. the logic is that when a new asset is acquired, it is already in overhauled condition. So out of the total amount paid, 3 million is attributed to overhauling and balance for remaing to other assets. Think of it like you bouhgt a home which is freshly painted for 50 lakhs. Painting cost is 5 lakhs which has to be done again after 5 years. So 45 lakhs will be depreciated over the life of building and balance 5 lakhs over 5 year.
