Sir i have doubt regarding Spread % calculation. As per ICAI, Spread % = Bid-Ask/Bid x 100 As per Formula sheet provided Spread % = Ask-Bid/Bid x 100 Is both are same sir? [Video Time Stamp: 07:31]
latest answer
Usually ask is greater than bid That is why we have formula like that You can take numbers for as diff between bid and ask

Interest Component
AFM
answered on 26-Mar-26 12:32
Sir, In case of early actions, I understood the impact of interest component (that is. Planned flow of fund is only on due date, due to early action by customer, bank is in need of earlier than planned - so interest gets attracted for the unexpired period). With respect to after due date actions, however we are cancelling the contract as on due date itself, where it involves cashflow. Here, the cashflow happens on the planned date - then what is the logic behind interest component in this case, sir? [Video Time Stamp: 14:14]
latest answer
Bank is entering into a ODFC. So till that date they have to keep funds. If you ask for execution 2 days after due date then bank has to maintain funds idle for those 2 days

Deemed pure Agent Service (vs) composite Supply of Rent & electricity
Indirect Taxation
answered on 02-Apr-26 16:48
I have a doubt regarding the GST valuation for electricity charges recovered by a Mall from its tenants. ⚡ The 'Deemed Pure Agent' Case: The provision suggests that if electricity is collected on an actual basis (even if the bill is in the Mall’s name), it is 'Deemed as a Pure Agent' and shall not form part of the value. ✅ The 'Composite Supply' Case: However, in Question for a shopping mall providing electricity as part of a composite supply (renting space), the answer is marked as Taxable, stating it is included in the value of rent—even if billed separately. ⚠️ My Specific Questions: ❓ How do we distinguish between a 'Deemed Pure Agent' recovery and a 'Composite Supply' in a real-world exam scenario? 📖 If a Mall recovers electricity charges on an actual basis but under a Rental Agreement, which rule takes precedence? 💡

Practically it is always included and it is taxed.

Circular permutations
Maths & Stats
answered on 26-Mar-26 22:24
Sir, while solving the question about arranging 7 boys around a circular table such that two particular boys never sit together, you first explained that without any restriction the number of ways is (7-1)! = 6! Then, to find the cases where those two boys always sit together, you said we can consider them as one unit. That makes it 6 places, but you mentioned it as 5 places. I am confused about this step. Could you explain it again?
latest answer
Arranging n boys around a circular table is done in (n-1)! ways. For 7 boys its 6! ways When 2 boys are always together then we take these 2 boys as one unit . Now n becomes 6 ( 2 boys as 1 unit + remaining 5 boys) . So total ways is (n-1)! which is 5!. Trust this clarifies
