Why Expected return is considered as Mean and why not the usual X bar mean is not considered?? Can u differentiate sir
latest answer
X bar is expected mean. When you have several data points for a single stock , average of all of those is x bar or expected return or mean when you have various probabilities for a single day then expected return is probability weighted average of those data points which again is the mean

Why are we not bringing the cost of a new bike to PV for Year 2 and 3?
AFM
answered on 03-Nov-24 13:03
Forgive me if this sounds dumb. But considering how the cash flows are expected to happen in the future, and considering how the expenses for those years are brought to present value, shouldn't we bring the cost of buying a new bike to PV?
latest answer
Not dumb. Good Question actually Bike price will also increase annually. It will not stay same - hence it is assumed PV will be 55k

In the mentioned examples, in the case of the construction of buildings, some buildings may be sold even before their construction is completed. So considering it as inventory, should we cease the capitalization of borrowing costs?
latest answer
If buildings are sold as incomplete or still in progress, the capitalisation would continue till the time construction is complete.
