Sir, I had a generic doubt ! Now, we recognise revenue when the performance obligation is met now for example at 31st March 2024 , there is a movie theatre and a movie is going on, the movie ended at 1 am on 1st April 2024. As the performance obligation of theatre is not completed till 12:00 am on 31st March 2024. And the revenue will also be huge almost in crores. So, maybe practically. Such revenue may be recognised wholly but as per theoretical concept, revenue shall be recognised proportionately na?

Ok sir !! Thank you !

Calculation of Social welfare surcharge @10%

Indirect Taxation

answered on 04-Nov-24 16:37

as in the example we can see that we need to calculate SWS(Social welfare surcharge) @10% on BCD+CVD in the example the computation gives only 10% of CVD that is 1.375 i guess it should be (10+13.75)*10%= 2.375

latest answer

Yes. SWS is on total. Anyway there is no CVD now.
