Mam, while a new person joins a partnership... Why investigation instead of due diligence? I'm viewing investigation to be something like -ve ... Meaning as if there is some doubt about the partnership and valuation of goodwill/ share..... How to take this with good understanding mam..?
latest answer
When a person joins a partnership, the term “investigation” is more comprehensive, thorough and specific inquiry. It’s more detailed. . It could be done for understanding reputation of firm, to find if there is a risk of internal conflicts, any fraud, criminal litigations etc. due diligence might not help in uncovering these areas. Due diligence typically covers standard assessments like merger , acquisition
