It should be 5 % right? Not 25 % ?
latest answer
Co. Law Limits (5%) apply on all Companies. SEBI regulation (25%) apply on Listed Companies. So for listed company we will take the limit as per Co. law as well as SEBI , Whichever is more strict.

Exponential moving average
AFM
answered on 01-Sep-24 20:37
Sir, Why are we ignoring the days that have no trading in the illustration that you had solved about the exponential moving average ? If there is no trade on a particular day, then Pt will be zero and a*pt will also be zero. But the EMA(t-1)*(1-a) will result in some value. Why are we considered on no trading day the EMAt is equal to EMA(t-1)? Kindly clarify my query sir.
latest answer
No. It does not work that way we will compute moving averages for days on which trading takes place and not otherwise

Impairment loss
Financial Reporting
answered on 31-Aug-24 14:12
Is it possible to reverse the impairment loss in this case. The recoverable amount was 470,000 increased to 500,000. So in case of reversal of impairment loss, we will restrict it to the extent of carrying amount which we get if the impairment is not done. In this case depreciation for 3 years would be 120000 and the carrying amount without considering impairment loss would be 480,000. So can we consider the carrying amount of 480,000?

Ohh ok sir

Please tell how these forex rates are considered in this transfer pricing sum
Direct Taxation
answered on 30-Aug-24 08:06
Wheather they are bid and ask rates or transaction rates.
latest answer
Bid / Ask when not separately provided and only 1 rate is provided - assume that for all computations the same rate is to be used. Even in AFM forex rates in some questions are not given as bid & ask but just as single rates

Is it violation of law 1) Received subscription and payment Before allotment utilized this money to purchase asset then made allotment 2) prospectus mentioned min subscription (60% of share) When will 60% apply & when SEBI 90% will apply So for amount Co Law said 5% and SEBI 25%…when 5% & when 25% will apply
latest answer
1) Not a violation of law on its own as long as allotment is done as per Act and other provisions followed. 2) Co. Law Limits apply on all Companies. SEBI regulation apply on Listed Companies. So for listed company we will take the limit as per Co. law as well as SEBI , Whichever is more strict. 3) Mr. X will be contributory. But he can also claim damages if he proves misstatement in prospectus (In that case Court may allow relief to Mr. X from being a contributory. But there is no provision in law regarding this) 4) FPO requires Prospectus
