Cash flow
AFM
answered on 03-Jul-24 10:53
why second cash flow is not considered, ie Buying USD at 66.32 and selling it 65.96
latest answer
int is computed on cash flow cash flow here pertains to cf of bank cf of bank is computed as diff between inflow and outflow, i.e buy and sell One of them has to be bank's back to back rate back to back rate is fwd buy 66.68 if this is the case then other side has to be sell so it will have to be spot buy back 66.15 66.32 and 65.96 - neither of these are bank's back to back transaction

Why in cost of redeemable debt formula, average is taken for redemption value and net proceeds
latest answer
It represents the average investment over the life of the debenture. Why average? It simplifies the estimation of the average amount financed by the debt over its life. It assumes that funds are used evenly throughout the period until redemption (though not strictly true).

If government chooses to treat F&O income as a speculative income then a person who trade for living how will he be affected?
latest answer
Pre budget, F&O trading losses can be offset against gains from other businesses or sources. If treated as speculative income, losses from F&O trading could only be offset against gains from F&O trading itself, limiting flexibility
