Dear Team, Kindly explain further the difference between management fee charged on committed capital and invested capital. Also, in what context is committed fee referred to here as in case of bank loans, bank charges fee for putting aside the loan till it's drawdown by borrower.

Alternative investments are things like hedge funds and Vc funds Person who puts money in a Vc is called LP and person who manages is called GP When an LP agrees to put money in a fund it is called commitment I.committed capital GPS ask lLPs for money only when an investment has to be made Invested capital is what LP has given to GP Management fee is usually on invested capital but there can also be a rate structure where it is on committed capital
