In the illustration 23, Retained earnings is given at 10 which is 50% of total earnings, hence should not the EPS be 20(100*10/50) and dividend arrives at 10.

Why is seperate exemption become relevent/required here in the current scenario? Is it enough that Prakash filled up a declaration form for whole of the baggage? What's actually the purpose of seperate exemption?

In case of spouse, we have to fill separate baggage declaration form. For the purpose of limit of 50K, we need to fill separate form only.
