17 illustration in derivative analysis 8A, dividend is deducted from net return. But mr.v is not required to pay any dividend, then why is he is deducted from return ???

When you have sold some one something that you don't have, they will not be eligible to get benefits of the item you sold. Instead of shorting something say you had sold a share that you already had, then the buyer is entitled to dividend. Now because buyer has not received dividend, you have to pay them dividend.
