My question regarding Indirect tax law Qno5 a of may 2019 old As per the provision of section 129 owner of goods doesn't come forward to pay penalty Quantum of penalty is 50% of value of good Or 200 % of tax payable w.e.h But in suggestions given like Tax payable (+)50% valaue(-)tax already paid Can anyone guide me
latest answer
That is an old question of 2019. Amendment has been made in 2021. After amendment, the quantum of penalty if owner does not come forward is 50% of the value of goods or 200% of tax payable whichever is higher.

An entity issued 100 shares each to its 1,000 employees subject to service condition of next 2 years. Grant date fair value of the share is`195 each. There is an expectation 97% of the employees will remain in service at the end of 1st year. However, at the end of 2nd year the expected employees to remain in service would be 91% of the total employees. Calculate expense for the year 2?

why there is no compared to single shiftchange in value of work in progress in double shift while there is change on finished goods raw material
latest answer
Because it is work in progress units.. so irrespective of number of shifts the units in progress will remain same.. there will only be a change in price per unit based on single or double shifts

Setoff of revaluation gain or loss
Financial Reporting
answered on 31-Jan-24 09:51
Sir , so we set off the amount of current year with only last year or all the prior periods. Eg: I had revaluation gain from last 5 years of Rs 50000 total and this time I have revaluation loss of 15000 , will this 15000 will be setoff from revaluation surplus ?
latest answer
Revaluation surplus is a balance sheet item and is accumulated year on year. You can write off the loss against the total balance of gain. It is done on an asset-to-asset basis.
