Yes Sums are solved in the class. Classes are sufficient to understand the concepts then you have to devote time for self study. Preparation of notes is subjective in nature, it depends from person to person. Personal experience, had prepared notes for every subject but not even read once before the exams.I am comfortable reading the text books it gives me confidence. I used to prepare running notes during lectures then read the study material my own make hints for important concepts. Using sticky notes. Every one is unique for notes making either to prepare yourself or stick to the study material choice is yours.
