Indirect Taxation

answered on 06-Nov-23 14:03

What is the purpose of having "Gold or Silver in any form other than Ornaments" in both the Annexures (Ann I & II), under the baggage rules? Is there any purpose or reason for this?

Since generally smuggling activity is done for raw gold and not for ornamental form.

appointment of auditor

Auditing

answered on 06-Nov-23 09:26

In a company is it possible to appoint two different auditor to audit book of accounts. One auditor is appointed as per provision of Companies Act and another auditor as per provisions of income tax law ( to audit and submit Form 3CA, 3CD report)

latest answer

Usually same firm is appointed to conduct both the audits. For verification of details in form 3CD, books of accounts details are needed. Statutory auditor will be in a better position to verify effectively and efficiently. that is however not mandatory, both the auditors could be different.
