Subsidiary company
Corporate & Other Laws
answered on 24-Sep-22 18:03
A subsidiary company cannot hold holding comapny shares except in 3 cases 1) held as trustee 2) held as legal representative 3) held before becoming subsidiary So my doubt is that for eg. A ltd holds 50% shares in B ltd and B ltd holds 50% in A ltd . So both of them are not subsidiary as holding is NOT MORE THAN 50% . A ltd now acquires 1% more holding In B ltd and B ltd gets 1% holding as legal representative So In This Case Who is Subsidiary and who is Holding Company
