Not more than 2 layers of subsidiaries as per Companies (Restrictions on number of layers) Rules, 2017 Few Companies are exempt like Banking, NBFC, Insurance and Govt Company Also, one layer consisting of wholly owned subsidiary (s) is not taken into account. Good question.
