ð??? in ledger account while preparing there is a "TO" and "BY" , what actually meaning of this to and by?? Receive or paying??

If rent is paid means To , if a rent is received means By ...IAM I correct

Whatever is coming in like in real account cash it is written By cash. Or asset is increasing Like we write By machinery
