When a blank cheque is issued or a cheque leaf is lost , it can be presented to bank by anyone who has it if the leaf has signature which matches and bank is obliged to pay. So if you want to stop the payment from happening, you can immediately give instructions to the bank to stop payment of the cheque in reference.

It's suggest to cancel the bearer land cross line on top left side of the cheque to secure
