The number of ways in which 5 male and 2 female members of the committee can be seated around a table so that two female members are not seated together is: A. 480 B. 600 C. 720 D. 840

Correct answer: A. 480 Total number of ways when there is no restriction = (7-1)! = 6! = 720 When two females are seated together, number of ways = 2 x (6-1)! = 240 So, total no. of ways when 2 females are not together = 480

For Q.14 you can use trail and error like substitute -1,-2 etc. In all cases it will be less than -1. So option D
