Doubt on binomial and poisson distribution

Maths & Stats

answered on 12-Oct-22 15:16

What is the answer for the question on the image? Also if it was Binomial what would the answer be ?

latest answer

Same logic for poisson distribution. If m is an integer, then the Poisson distribution is bimodal. If m is not an integer, then the distribution is unimodal, the unique modal value being the integral part of m. This means that the mode is equal to the greatest integer less than m.
