Pls explain example 3 from start to end.

Assume there are 15 workers and their individual salary is 22, then total salary is 22 x 15 i.e 330 now count has decreased to 11 and salary increased to 25 so total salary is 275 so total salary ratio old to new = 330: 275 i.e 6:5

Is my solution correct?? I am having a doubt that in this sol x=2y=50 ; x=50 ;y=25 can be a pair also and x/2=50 x=100 ; y=50 I have attached the pdf of question and my solution. Pls resolve my doubt.
