Why here put X's value 'x+1+1' instead of 'x+1'???
latest answer
the function is given as x^2-4x+8 so an addition is done (+1-1) to the equation which will have null effect x^2-4x+8 = (x+0)^2-4(x+0)+8 = (x-1+1)^2 -4(x-1+1)+8

log 5 = log (10 / 2) = log 10 â?? log 2 (using second logarithm identity) now we know that log 10 = 1. and log 2 = 0.3010. so log 5 = log 10 â?? log 2 = 1 â?? 0.3010 = 0.6990.
