Can anyone help me to understand this

latest answer

When we say variable y is linear function of x, it means it satisfies the equation y = ax + b. That is with change in x, y will have corresponding constant change.

X+5/y, how is it expanded to x/y +5/y?

Because X and 5 have the common denominator, so if you want to expand you can write as x/y and 5/y or (x+5)/y.

How did we get 93 when x= 90? Please show me in practical not in theory Thank you

latest answer

x is 9 and it was at tens place. If y is at ones place, x is 3 times y which means y is 3. So, we have 10 x 9 + 3 = 93. Practically, you may check subtract 39 from 93 and answer will be 54
