Conclusion 1 - Some erasers are papers. this is true As X = C + B + A and if B & C are >0, then some erasers are papers. If B&C are both 0 even then Erasers are papers. The Conclusion stands whether value of B& C is = 0 or >0 Conclusion 2 - Some pens are not papers - this is false because if B= 0, then all pens are papers So final Answer is a - only Conclusion 1 is right

The process of combining two or more index numbers covering different bases into a single series is called splicing. It means if two time periods are overlapping i.e., having different base years, then to make them same base year we use slicing.
