An NRE / NRO account is used by NRIs to deposit their foreign earnings to be used for transacting in India.

Interest is exempt. The interest income is earned on the foreign income parked in the NRE Account.

Income by way of salary for services rendered outside India on a foreign going ship and received into the NRE account maintained with Indian Bank shall not be included in total income. Is it same like remittance?
