Generally partial endorsement is not valid for negotiable instrument. Example : if a bill is created for 10000 rupees, full bill can be endorsed further. Only part of it (5000 rupees) cannot be endorsed. But if part of it is paid, & such fact is mentioned on the instrument, then remaining can me endorsed further. Eg: if out of 10000, 5000 is paid and cleared and remaining 5K is payable, then such detail must be written on the instrument. Then it can be endorsed ahead for 5000 Rs.
