When Travelling expenses or Travelling commission given in question. On which basis we have to calculate either on Time or Sales?

When nothing is given, make a note of it and do accordingly. Would suggest to do in sales ratio as they are generally linked with sales promotion. In a question, like illustration 6, it's specifically mentioned that only Y out of X travelling expenses relate to sales promotion. In such cases, remaining would be in time. Happy studying!
