Each question can be handled in 2 ways. Either attempt or not. So total ways in which Algebra can be handled is 2^6. There is one way in which no question will be attempted. Since at least one needs to be attempted, it is 2^6-1. Similarly for Geometry 2^4-1 Combining both, you can get the answer.
