Does shareholders equity include preference share capital

Sorry if I am wrong. Can anyone post correct answer clearly so that confusion will be cleared?

No. Shareholders equity does not include preference share capital. Only 'Equity' includes Both PSC and ESC (including reserves).

Preference shares sometimes considered as equity, since preferred dividend payments are not legal obligations and preferred shares rank below all debt (but above equity) in the priority of their claim on assets. Shareholders funds include both equity and preference
My Question is, if Shareholders' equity includes PSC, then why it was added again separately in this proprietary fund calculation? So that I was concluded that, Shareholders' equity = ESC + R&S Equity or Shareholders fund or Networth or Owners' fund or Proprietors' fund = ESC + PSC + R&S. Am I correct now?

This sum hv been done diffrntly in video lecture kindly check.. There dey hv taken oly equity.. Which means preference is included in equity

For the purpose of ratio analysis, equity includes - ESC,PSC, R&S Shareholders equity is also called - Networth, shareholders fund, owners fund, proprietors fund
