In conversion of debenture into equity shares, why they are divided by 10? It's already split equity shares of rupees 10 each into 5 equity shares of rupees 2.

Best Answer

Rs. 10 per share is the issue price. Here Rs. 2 / per share will only go to Equity share capital, Rs. 8 goes to Securities Premium Reserve
