Section 17

As the memorandum gives the scope of powers and duties of a company, the section 17 gives the duty of a company to send the requested copy of documents to such member who, made payment of prescribed fee to registrar within 7 days of such payment.

So does that mean this section 17 make it obligatory on the part of company to send the MOA to the shareholder on payment of fees even though we can get it from registrar

Section-17 (1) A company shall, on being so requested by a member, send to him within seven days of the request and subject to the payment of such fees as may be prescribed, a copy ............ It is mandatory to company, which in case of default the company and every officer shall be liable.
