Can you explain 2 nd para which starts which provided that..

Generally the securities of retail investors are stored with the depositories (like NSDL and CDSL in case of shares). So , if the securities are held in the depository by the company , then such depository may serve or send those documents through electronic mode or any other mode ( they mean need not be physical) to the company.

Service of documents means giving documents to the concerned person - its usually the registered address of company
