In marketing mix there are 4P's and under that there is promotion and in promotion there is publicity and publicity is done through advertisement in newspapers as article or any news but for these things company have to pay some amount so how publicity can be said to be unpaid??

Sir, does backward vertical diversification means acquiring a new business line ( company) or starting a new business line? In the example you have stated, a car manufacturing company acquires the business of tire manufacturing company. My doubt is whether a car manufacturing company acquires the business line or starts its own tire manufacturing company.
