CFA Access Scholarship Window is currently OPEN

CFA Institute Access Scholarship by CFA Institute, USA is available to individuals who may not be able to afford the full CFA program fees. The grant of scholarship waives the CFA enrollment fee of US$ 350 and reduces the exam registration fee of US$ 900/1200 to US$ 250 (~ Rs. 20,000). The scholarship application window is open 2 times a year. The second application window is now OPEN and will close on 14 February 2023. Application review decision will be communicated via email by 31 March 2023.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants to CFA Access Scholarship Program, must meet the CFA enrollment requirements. There is no minimum or maximum income or asset level for Scholarship applicants. A candidate should not have already registered for the CFA exam.

Evaluation Criteria

Financial need is considered the basic factor. However, final awards are based on a combination of factors, including

• Financial need
• Academic, professional, or other accomplishments
• Any obstacles overcome by the candidate
• Any contributions to the local community
• Candidate’s interest in pursuing the CFA charter
• Personal characteristics that indicate the individual is a strong candidate 

An individual has to write a personal statement for the scholarship as part of the application. The statement should emphasize all of the above factors. 

Other Things To Note 

• While your scholarship application is pending, you should not register for a CFA Program exam
• You won't miss out on the early registration fee because you were waiting for scholarship results. For example, if you want to take Level I CFA Exam in August 2023, the early registration window closes on 1 Feb. If you apply for the scholarship before 1 Feb, even though the results of the scholarship will come later (before 31 Mar), you will be allowed to register by paying the early registration fee.
