ICAI New Syllabus | Nov-23 Under Existing Scheme | Important Points

ICAI has officially announced that CA Inter and CA Final examinations in Nov-23 would be held in existing scheme.

Students should keep the following points in now.

Nov-23 exams would be held under the existing scheme only.
Students who were waiting to register with ICAI should immediately register and start preparation.
If you pass one group in existing scheme, benefit would be provided under new scheme
We expect new scheme to be applicable from May-24 examination onwards
Direct entry students should start articleship and not waste time.

No you will get exemptions for subjects which were a part of Group I. However for CAFM, you will get exemption only in costing.

I am writing group 2 of CA final in Nov 23 exam. It seems new syllabus books are available only if I convert to new syllabus. I want G1 books. So can I convert to new syllabus now even though I am writing in Nov 23 exam? Kindly clarify my doubt sir.

If you clear Group I in Nov-23, You need to give second group in May-24. SET A,C&D are exempt. Set B you can write after exams.

If a person clears group 1 and get 2-3 exemptions in group in nov 23 attempt. What should be done for the remaining 1-2 papers which is left in group 2? Now, if new syllabus has only 3 papers and in nov 23 attempt, he gets 3 exemptions which paper should he write in may 24 attempt?
