Re-Opening of Online Filling of Examination Application forms for CA Final Nov-24 Examinations

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the re-opening of the online examination application form for the CA Final Exams November 2024. This decision comes as a response to requests from students following a recent change in the application timeline, which was reduced from 28 days to 17 days this year.

In 2024, the ICAI introduced a new schedule for conducting the Chartered Accountants Intermediate and Foundation exams three times a year, instead of twice. Consequently, the application window for the September 2024 exams was shortened to accommodate the new exam dates and ensure timely processing, such as the finalization of examination centers, evaluation of answer books, and declaration of results. The same shortened timeline was applied to the CA Final Nov 24 Exams and PQC (Post Qualification Course) exams.

To provide students with additional time to apply for the CA Final Exams in November 2024, the ICAI has decided to re-open the online application window for two days, from 11th September 2024 (11:00 AM) to 12th September 2024 (11:59 PM), with a late fee of Rs. 600 (US$10). This one-time measure is designed to support students in adapting to the new timeline for the CA Final and PQC exams, including the Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT-AT).

Students are advised to make the most of this opportunity and complete their online application within the specified dates. Going forward, the 17-day application window will be the standard for all Chartered Accountants examinations, and strict adherence to these timelines is expected.
