Passed IPC-Group-II? Now you can commence your articleship!

Earlier, only students who had passed Group-I of Intermediate (Integrated Professional Course) were eligible to commence articleship. Under the new scheme of education, the students who pass either Group I or Group II are eligible for articleship. The Institute has extended similar benefits to the students of the old course.

Now, students of old course can also commence articleship on clearing either Group I or Group II of IPC.

The announcement from ICAI is reproduced below :

"Pursuant to the amendment in CA Regulations, 1988, a candidate who has passed either or both the Groups of Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination can commence their Practical Training.

In other words, now students of Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course can commence their Practical Training even after passing Group 2 or Group 1 or both the groups of Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination.
