Unlike Law, I've studied AS in a logical and simple manner without mugging up anything but the suggested answers seem a bit tough... they've answered like law. So can I explain AS in simple words in the exam to score marks?

ICAI gives way too detailed solution which is diifficult to remember or recall. For AS based questions if you are able to explain the provisions and give a valid conclusion, it is sufficient.

You could write in your own way but it has to be authentic enough as well with some technical words.

Yes you can. But try to learn from suggested answers as much as you can. See if your answer is Right but isn't similar to suggested answers, you should get marks But if it is right as well as similar (as much as possible) to suggested answers, you will definitely score full marks. That's the difference 👍
