Since the equation for y on x is 3x-5y=-12 Implies thet 5y=3x+12 by substituting the value of x in the afore said equation we can get the value you 'y' which is =8.4

The terms y on x itself implies that it is used to find 'y' for a given value of'x' and x on y implies that it is used to find 'x' for a given value of 'y'
