What is the difference between sec 6A and 8 of the act? 6A says that reference to a repealed act will continue but 8 says that reference to new act shall be considered. What should be done?

Section 8 talks about an act which is repealed and replaced with a reenactment. In that case the reference of the new act shall be considered Section 6A talks about an act which is repealed but not reenacted. In that case reference of the repealed act will be taken.
