From 1st April 2023 the Ind AS applicability for mutual funds came into force so for the mutual fund companies. Usually mutual fund companies value their investments at a fair value but as per Ind AS 40 investment properties cannot be valued using a revaluation model. So it is contradicting with each other so is there anything else I am missing here ?

Hi Chandu, Please note that IND AS 40 is applicable to Land/Buildings majorly which are owned for earning rental income or capital appreciation. Most financial securities such as shares, mutual funds, derivatives, bonds, etc are covered by IND AS 109,32,107 (Financial Instruments) which permit Fair Valuation depending upon the security and its classification
