Is the provision of 2% for further deterioration normal or abnormal loss?

Sreelakshmi P VSir then why it is deducted from total quantity to find effective quantity? We should deduct only normal loss right?
Detoriation generally is a process of becoming worse progressively as the time passes. In the answer, he might have assumed that it is the normal nature of the product to detoriate as the time passes. Hence treated as normal loss.
