So you are done with the grueling part of studying, practicing, and finally writing your CA Final exams. You are now just one step away from earning the coveted title of a certified Chartered Accountant, and that step is your CA Final result. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) publishes the results on its exam portal, from where students can download their results.
ICAI primarily uploads all examination results on its official website. You can visit https://www.icai.org/ for CA final result. But there are also two more ICAI links that you can access to see your CA Final result: www.caresults.icai.org, and www.icai.nic.in.
Here’s the step by step process to view and download CA Final result.
Step 1: Visit any of the above links to find the ICAI exam list.
Step 2: Select CA Final exam to proceed
Step 3: Enter your CA Final Roll number, registration number, or pin to access your scores.
Step 4: A new window appears displaying your CA Final result. You can take a printout of the screen for future reference.
ICAI sends your Statement of Marks by post soon after the results are declared. If you do not receive the same within 4-5 weeks of result declaration, write an email to dms_examhelpline@icai.in.
You need to score at least 40% in each paper and 50% in each group’s aggregate to clear the CA Finals. You may attempt one group at a time but must pass both groups to clear the CA Final Exams.
Unfortunately, if you fail to clear one or more papers in a CA Final group, ICAI will allow exemption from appearing in paper/papers in which you have secured 60% or more. The conditions for this policy are:
If your Statement of Marks carries a ‘#’ sign beside any score, it means you are allowed exemption from writing that particular paper again. Furthermore, the Group status in your scorecard will indicate an ‘F-Ex’ instead of a ‘Fail’.
After a subsequent attempt at the paper/papers you failed earlier during the exemption validity period, your new statement of marks will carry an ‘E’ beside the exempted paper’s score, indicating ‘carry forward’.
As per ICAI policy, you can request verification of your CA Final Exam papers for a fee of INR 100 per paper, up to INR 400 per group within 30 days of declaration of results. You can also get certified copies of your answer books for INR 500 per paper.
Alternatively, you can avail of the Right to Information Act, 2005, to request verification and certified copies of your answer books at a nominal cost. Apply online at https://rtionline.gov.in in the following simple steps:
